Your role and your impact: Innovating Real-Time Software for Advanced Motion Control

As a Realtime Software Application Engineer at Frencken, you will be at the heart of our motion control systems, driving the development of real-time firmware that powers electro motors in high-tech machines. You’ll have the opportunity to work on dedicated platforms, ensuring the precision and performance of our systems through innovative software solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop real-time firmware in C/C++ for our specialized motion control platforms, focusing on controlling electromotors with precision.

• Create and implement comprehensive test environments to validate the performance and reliability of your designs.

• Conduct thorough testing of your firmware to ensure it meets all design specifications and operational requirements.

• Document your design processes, decisions, and results to maintain clear and detailed records for future reference.

Who we are looking for?

We are seeking a talented and driven Realtime Software Application Engineer with a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of motion control systems.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BSc. or MSc.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in real-time firmware application design, specifically within a motion control environment.

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming, with experience using tools such as Visual Studio.

• Strong knowledge of microcontrollers and CPUs, with an understanding of compiler performance and real-time operating systems (RTOS).

• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

• Experience in designing and verifying test plans is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink is a plus.

• Knowledge of system engineering, control technology, and/or mechatronics is highly desirable.
