System Control Engineer| NPI | Factory and Customer application
Eindhoven
Job description
Machine concepts | System Engineering | Test systems | Electronics
About us:
At Frencken Mechatronics, we’re at the forefront of innovation, specializing in the development and assembly of advanced industrial systems. Our cutting-edge solutions cater to a wide range of industries, including semiconductor manufacturing, healthcare, and analytical applications. We take pride in designing and building state-of-the-art machines for our own factories and for our OEM customers, integrating high-precision mechanical components, advanced control electronics and software as well as sophisticated machine application assemblies.
Your role and your impact:
As a System Control Engineer, you will design systems that test- or control mechatronic products. Such systems include electronics and software, motion control components (motors, feedback devices) and other equipment as the application requires. Since our machines deal with high-precision products, you will use top-end components and subsystems to meet accuracy demands. You will work closely with lead engineers and the customer to define necessary design constraints and realization requirements. You thoroughly test your own design before delivering it.
Key responsibilities:
• Collaborate with customers to define machine design requirements, transforming their requirements into reality.
• Work closely with peer engineers
• Design and test machine control- and machine test equipment
• Integrate electrical and software functions
• Document engineering specifications, designs, and solutions, ensuring clarity and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Validate and verify designs, ensuring they meet all specifications and quality standards.
Who are we looking for?
We are searching for an engineer who is enthusiastic when working with Mechatronic systems and who likes it that each project is different from the previous one. Someone who has a firm basis in electronics/software/physics and who enjoys a dynamic atmosphere. An engineer who understands that designing and building a mechatronic machine requires team work. A can-do person who understands that his/her design is not only guided by technical issues but also by all other business constraints such as timing, resources and finances.
Qualifications:
• A Bsc or Msc degree in Electrical- or Software Engineering, Applied Physics or comparable.
• A few years of experience in machine building or multidisciplinary designs
• Some familiarity with power circuits, field buses, motor control, application control and test approaches
• Proficiency in English and preferably good level of Dutch, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A healthy balance between thinking and doing
• Being able to design simple electronic circuits and PCB’s is a plus
• Having experience with working in international teams is a plus
• Seeing the role of mechanics in machines is a plus
What we offer:
At Frencken, you’ll join a vibrant, collaborative atmosphere where innovation is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be part of a team that’s as passionate about technology as you are, working on fascinating, challenging projects that push the limits of what’s possible. We offer competitive compensation, excellent benefits—including 25 vacation days, 13 ADV days, and a bonus scheme—and ample opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Are you interested?
If you're excited by the prospect of designing equipment of factory- and custom mechatronic systems and working with various fields of technology, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today!
