What does the position of Technical Physicist entail?

In this role you will focus on the physical heart of our product or on the physical realization of the process conditions for which the product will be used. You simulate the designs and guide colleagues in assembling and verifying prototypes of the product. What else are you going to do:

  • Being involved in both feasibility studies and actual design.
  • Interact as a physics specialist for technical matters both internally and externally.
  • Performing root cause analyses to identify and fix problems or generate improvement proposals during industrialization is important in your tasks.
  • Formulate specifications based on customer requests or innovative ideas.
  • Transform these specifications into designs and participate in the design process. All this is done in close consultation with the mechanics, electronics, software and mechatronics engineers.

Are you our Technical Physicist?

You have a broad interest in physics and like to work in a multidisciplinary team. You are a self-starter with focus on quality and optimization. You have or bring:

  • Bachelor degree in Physics.
  • 3-7 years’ of experience in a high tech machine building environment.
  • A practical and flexible technician, with excellent analytical competences.
  • are able to work in a team, but you can also operate independently.
  • Knowledge of particle optics, Ultra high Vacuum and High Voltage conditions.
  • Experience in realizing and validating high cleanliness grades.
  • Affinity with or knowledge of fine mechanics is also an advantage.
  • Good command of the English and preferably Dutch language in word and writing.

Who are we?

Frencken Mechatronics is a global company that develops, manufactures and sells High-Tech / High-Quality production equipment or analysis equipment. Based on our own Engineering competencies and in most cases in collaboration with the engineering departments of our customers, we take care of the technical design of our products. In our machine factory, parts are manufactured or outsourced to specialized suppliers. In our assembly plant, the products are assembled, tested and released. We work in the High-Tech sector with an emphasis on the markets for Semiconductor, Analytical and Medical equipment. Customers are reputable companies (OEMs).
